A simple but powerful gift that shaped the course of my life.
Some thirty years ago, when I was 5 yeas old, my mother gave me a wonderful gift – the gift of classical guitar lessons. Somehow, later on in school, I was always a quick learner, good at math, physics and other subjects, while others in my class seemed to struggle. I thought I was clever!
I never made the link untill recently. You see, it was my musical ability that without even me knowing affected almost every other area of my childhood and adult life. I was in the top 90% of my class without putting in too much effort, had many friends and always was welcome everywhere I went because I played the guitar. Always thought there was something special in me. And now I know – it was the skills and abilities I gained while learning to play a musical instrument.
Now I have a daughter, and the first thing we did… you guessed it – we gave her the same gift – an opportunity to learn a musical instrument. My daughter and I now share a special musical bond as we play together! I could not have asked or wished for a better gift to my kids.

The Benefits of Online Learning
Only a a few years back, if you wanted to learn music, you had to find a school or a tutor that offered music classes for your instrument nearby.
It is only in the last few years that learning music online became possible. The benefits of online learning are numerous:
- Convenience: Is your child interested in learning a music instrument but you are too busy to drive them to the distant music school / teacher?
It is definitely more convenient to take lessons in the comfort of your own home
- Accessibility: All you need is an internet connection. If your computer can play youtube videos, than it will play our lessons, anytime , anywhere. Your child can learn at home, at grandmas, or anywhere where they can get an internet connection. Online lessons are accessible 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
- Flexibility: Your child can have the lessons whenever it is convenient for you instead of being locked into a particular day and time with a private lesson. If something comes up and you can’t make it to your private lesson, you typically need to cancel within 24 hours or you still have to pay for the lesson. This last point introduces the other important benefit of online piano lessons, affordability.
- Cost: The traditional methods of getting tutoring can cost between $30-$50 per lesson or even more, adding up to thousands for for just one year’s tuition. It is still very expensive compared to online learning. We offer weekly lessons for just one low monthly fee, which you would typically pay for just one or two “offline” lessons.
- Much less intimidating than “in the classroom.” Anonymity provides students a relaxed environment where they can learn at their own pace.
- Repeatability: You are able to repeat your online lessons over and over again until you have perfected it.
